COMMUNICATIVE ENGLISH - March 12

 

        March 12,2021(Friday) the morning started with Maya mam's class and mam asked about the induction experiences and Fathima shared her experience. Then mam taught us the topic of "Educational Sociology".

Next Ancy mam came and finished the Froebel class. The third hour was of Communicative English headed by Maya mam and Joju sir. We heard a song and mam asked to write the lyrics and later we heard the same song with eyes closed and we get the difference in both situations.

Next, we were asked to listen to a video clip about how to develop good communication skill in English by Dr Sumitha the talk focused on only one skill that is the speaking skill.




 The last activity was a spelling test and a grammar test. In which I got 9 out of 10. 

After the lunch break, we were sorting the seminar topics as Meekha mam was on leave. In the last 2 hour art and aesthetics, Joju sir introduced a new mam named Lekshmi and will be dealing with arts from the next class onwards and mam made us into groups by counting and I was in the second group and mam asked singers from the group to sing a song. And thus ended the class in a musical way.



                                Thank God for this musical day.......................

                     January 11, 2022 ( Tuesday )I reached the school at 9 20 and signed the attendance sheet. My friend was on leave today so I took her period also. She had the first hour and I took her period as substitution, it was 9th A-class and the chapter I dealt with them was "The last leaf".                                     I enjoyed each and every experience in the school and it was really interesting. Sleepless Nights of Commission - 28 Sept

                           The day arrived that the Commission had a huge hurdle that had to be crossed. I had my General and Physical viva on 27th it went smoothly without any problem and I also had my class external evaluation today I was a little bit tensed but managed to overcome it. I have optional viva left thank god it has to go smoothly.

World Water Day - March 22

           March 22, 2021(Monday) The day started with a prayer in our college chapel, with a positive vibe I entered the General class and the first two hours were taken by Maya mam and mam gave a brief description of today's importance - 22 March is World Water Day. Then mam taught different terms related to Culture. They are- Cultural Lag, Cultural Diffusion, Enculturation, Acculturation, Cultural Inertia, Sanskritisation and Role of Education with regard to culture. After that mam conducted the seminar on English Optionals. The next hour was engaged by Benedict Sir and sir first gave a gist of the previous class and brushed up our memory. Then sir gave a difference between Probing and Redirection. Probing means the ability of a teacher to provide some clues to the students so that the thought process of the student will e focused.
